Meaning
Change from a liquid to a solid when cold; "Water freezes at 32 degrees Fahrenheit".

Examples
- Water can freeze_down a pipe in the winter if not properly insulated.
- Liquids in the fridge are not likely to freeze_down completely as they are not below freezing point.
- Rivers in colder climates tend to freeze_down during the harsh winter months.
- Vehicles with water-cooled engines can have their coolant freeze_down if left to sit outside on extremely cold nights.
- Some types of containers are not designed to freeze_down liquids because they expand and might break the container.
