Scroll (Verb)
Meaning
Move through text or graphics in order to display parts that do not fit on the screen; "Scroll down to see the entire text".
Classification
Verbs of size, temperature change, intensifying, etc..
Examples
- To view the full list of recommendations, scroll down to the bottom of the screen.
- Press the down arrow to scroll through the document and highlight important sections.
- Use your mouse to scroll left or right to view the map in its entirety.
- To see more search results, scroll to the next page by clicking on the 'Next' button.
- Scroll up to the top of the article to read the title and author's name again.
