Classification
Verbs of touching, hitting, tying, digging.
Examples
- To decode the transmitted signal, the receiver must heterodyne it with a local oscillator at the correct frequency.
- Amplitude modulation consists of heterodyning an audio-frequency signal with a radio-frequency carrier wave.
- They use a technique of heterodyning the laser light with a local light source in order to bring the frequency difference into the visible range.
- The chip heterodynes samples with a local oscillator to produce lower frequency signals which the processor then interprets.
- The transceiver heterodynes the two separate frequencies, combining them to produce one beat frequency for further processing.
