Meaning
Appear at the surface; "A seam of coal bassets".
Classification
Verbs of size, temperature change, intensifying, etc..
Examples
- A vein of quartz crops out halfway up the mountain.
- A seam of limestone crops out here, near the rocky outcrop.
- A stratum of clay crops out along the edge of the valley.
- The underlying bedrock crops out in this craggy outcropping.
- The edge of the granite formation crops out just beyond the first bend in the river.
