Meaning
Melt, break, or become otherwise unusable; "The lightbulbs blew out"; "The fuse blew".

Examples
- The old lightbulb seems to burn out every other week due to being overused.
- If you don't replace the worn-out wires, the engine is going to burn out completely.
- The air conditioning blew out and now the room is sweltering hot.
- The heating element almost burned out a few times but a gentle touch brought it back on.
- Frequent high temperatures can cause plastics to deteriorate, causing pipes and other parts to burn out rapidly.
