Examples
- The origins of the word entsy are seen in the Ket language and other Yeniseian dialects that branched from a proto-language spoken by the ancestors of entsy and ket people along the Yenisei River in Siberia.
- Many of the historical events, customs and stories have been preserved in oral literature such as epics and legends by the Ket and other entsy in Southern Siberia.
- Linguistically, entsy can be said to be divided into two branches – the Kety and the Ariny, however other peoples such as assan, pumpok and kott also spoke a language that could be included as entsy.
- The Soviet and Russian records classified entsey as Ketskij language which was then incorporated into Uralo-Altaic due to reasons that both the languages show similarities with each other that some roots in the entsy language are very close to the roots represented in Hungarian and Finnish language.
- Kott is one of the earliest divisions of entsy which was lost after the Christian influence.
