Meaning
With little or no delay; "the rescue squad arrived promptly"; "come here, quick!".
Examples
- Call for help and they'll respond quick to the scene of the accident.
- We have to move quick if we want to catch the train.
- He came running up the stairs quick and entered his room.
- Can you hand me the fire extinguisher quick before the flames spread.
- When I gave the order to jump, he responded quick and made it out alive.
